Some "Easy share" adventures
I have attached a picture of a flower in our garden that I photographed using my latest, cool digital camera - Kodak easy share c653 camera. Note that I haven't brushed it up using any image editing tools, its just the raw image, as it is, from the camera -and thats the beauty of it.
The camera is just awesome with some really sleek adjustable controls. In the current photo, I have increased the exposure rate to 1.7+ so that the background looses out and you get a soft feeling for the flower in picture.
Picasa
I am also planning to host a site with all the photos that I am taking - most probably using Picasa. I must agree that Picasa is one great software. Its free and anyone could become a pro in image editing in a matter of minutes using this cool software. I was really impressed by the "I am feeling lucky" button which automatically adjusts contrast, cool and enhances the picture(works in most cases, or u will have to fine tune it )
V.J'ing Linux
I have also recorded video of my linux installation adventures and lot of photos too. Next week we are going to my brother's place(pune) where I bet we all are going to have a lot of fun with this cool cam.
I also sorted up my room a bit, to make a proper place for my new networking plans ;)

A great b'day gift from my dad
Last Sunday me, Swaroop and my dad went for one of the coolest shopping days of my life and at the end of it, I had a cool Kodak easy share c653 camera in my hand. It was one awesome camera. And as a special offer, we managed to get some really cool goodies.
- A really cool superb battery charger
- 1 GB memory card
It has some really cool features like
- Anti blur
- Auto focus
- Color Adjustment
- Auto Flash
- Fast mode, "moving fan" shot, seems as though you have taken it while the fan was still
- Video mode with support for 640 x 480 resolution
All these and much more. And this was one my dream come true.
More than taking shots for nice occasions, one of the major reasons for getting a camera was something else.
I do a lot of (in my view, i feel that way)networking and installation(linux) stuff. And I badly needed some way to document all those. Or if I got a new computer(Old computer from someone-for me, its new) and wanted to get a snapshot of its antique motherboard, or some other hard to find feature, there was no way I could get pics of them. Note that for old computer parts and no so popular companies, searching for them on the net may not be such a great idea after all.
But now having a digital camera, it feels really good. Hopefully, all these documentation stuff, might be useful to someone someday. But I bet its surely going to be useful for me.
The charge for the battery that they give withe the camera is depleted and I have put the batteries for charging, and after that, it is PHOTO TIME !!!. And I hope to clean up my site and upload some cool photos to my site pretty soon. Also you guys too could expect some work of art in this blog soon ;)
Things on which I will blog tomorrow include:
Amrith's linux install
More experiences with c653 easy share
Visitors from my native place
A cool voice chat with my brother

Give me the report
Its been more than a month since i registered with google analytics. I checked it regularly for the first 3-4 days and I could see no result and I dropped out of it and moved on to statcounter.
What these sites do is to present information about the users who visit your blog/site. First you have to register in one of these sites. Then have to just insert the code that they provide in your site/blog and you get detailed summary about your visitors including the country they come from, their lenght of visit and so on. This is really useful especially if you have ads in your page that target a specific audience like AdSense.
But just today I just logged in to google analytics and here there was the complete summary for all visits in the past 1month and I have 3 visit from America too(see the pic on the top) It was really cool to see analytics in action.
Google gear
I stumbled across this utility called Google gear. It is suppposed to make our offline experience painless. But there are other things like webaroo and so on. But from what I understand google gear offers you api and code to make you web apps add the 'work offline' feature. This is really cool, becuase, very few web apps has this feature. I am not sure if google gear could be used to download and view web pages as such. Anyway I will look more into it soon
Digital Camera
Today I and my friend Swaroop, went to QRS( an electronic app shop in our town) to inquire about the price of digital camera. If everything goes as planned I will having a digital camera soon in my hands as promised by my dad, a couple of months back.
